Infotec updates Euston mainboard
Infotec engineers have updated the presentational layouts to better meet the needs of passengers using the station.
Infotec’s engineers have been responsible for the latest presentational layouts deployed onto the repurposed media screen at London Euston. This change of approach is intended to better meet the needs of passengers using the station.
To convert the large media board to show train running information, Infotec has provided Network Rail with a new stand-alone Infotec controller with software compatible with Infotec’s content management system - Javelin. The system is similar to those used to drive the Infotec RGB mainboard displays in other mainline stations including London stations St. Pancras, Waterloo, Victoria, and Charing Cross, and Manchester Piccadilly.
Infotec worked collaboratively with both Network Rail and JCDecaux to splice the output of this system onto the Euston station-wide display, which is Europe’s largest indoor digital billboard, and completed the project in a very compressed timescale.
Network Rail will trial the new display over the coming weeks to assess passenger feedback.
