Multi-modal RGB at Clapham
Two new full-colour boards that use Infotec's software for presentations are now in place at Clapham Junction.
---Passengers using the Brighton Yard entrance to Clapham Junction Station can now get both national rail and London underground information on two newly installed full colour RGB LED displays designed and manufactured by Infotec.
With one positioned above the ticket barrier and the other next to the Ticket Vending Machines at the Brighton Yard entrance, the fine-pitch LED displays deliver details about departures, next fastest train, platform details, and London Underground line status, all in full colour and with excellent readability.
As with most Infotec displays, the new boards use Infotec’s latest tsPlayer software for flexible, adaptive and attractive presentations which enhance passenger flow at the station, Britain’s busiest interchange.
Infotec has also supplied its P4054 power management and RGB controller hardware which is critical for the effective running of this sort of complex display technology.
In addition to the displays themselves, Infotec was responsible for designing and creating the support steelwork that holds the units in place.
The display installation was carried out by Concept Security https://www.conceptsecurityltd.co.uk/ based in Crawley, West Sussex.
