Infotec’s range of full-matrix RGB displays provide customers with a new approach to mainboard solutions.
These advanced, professional passenger information displays offer wider viewing angles, improved contrast ratios and the ability to show enhanced graphical notices in a flexible and dynamic format.
The system uses Infotec Javelin GUI in conjunction the display’s tsPlayer and tsPRO software to seamlessly manage this flexibility. The tsPRO software was specifically developed by Infotec for the management of more complex CIS screens. The software builds on the concepts of widgets and templates to allow the station operations team to change the format of the displays at the touch of a button, help them manage the information presented to passenger dependent on the operational needs of the station.
Infotec’s latest software runs on specially designed RGB control equipment that offers a range of redundancy measures and diagnostic tools to maximise availability and help maintainers quickly and easily identify and rectify faults.
MB-CPU2
The Infotec MB-CPU2 controller is a fully redundanr controller built with dual processors that both operate in tandem and, using smart technology, talk to each other to ensure the processor is in optimum condition drives the display. Using Ethernet/GSM or RS485 communications, the processors can accept external data from various sources and feed information back to the Javelin CMS system and use the data to manage the display hardware. This controller is the heartbeat of the RGB board P4050 control box and manages other display systems.
P4050
The unit takes the dual redundancy processing power of Infotec’s MB-CPU2 hardware and combines this with state of the art HDMI to LED controllers. Working together these units are capable of producing the best output for the quality of presentation that rail CIS needs and expects with maximum reliability and availability. Using Ethernet/GSM or RS485 communications, the processors can accept external data from various sources and feed information back to the Javelin CMS system and use the data to manage the display hardware.
P4051
The P4051 is a dual redundancy power management unit that is designed to intelligently control the high power requirements in respect to large format RGB main boards. Due to the high power draws experienced when using large format RGB technology, Infotec needed to provide customers with the means to safely and efficiently mangae these hardware. The P4051 intelligently control the start up of the displays using its “SoftStart” technology which switches the displays on in sections ensuring there are no power issues at a station level.
